What are your post-16 options in Doncaster?
Are you, or a young person you know, thinking about your next steps after you finish your GCSE’s or Level 2 studies in Year 11?
Whether you know what’s next or you are still figuring it out, let’s explore your options for after Year 11!
As you may know, young people have to stay in some form of education and training until at least their 18th birthday, but there are a huge range of options in Doncaster for you to choose from, whatever your goals and aspirations!
We know that some young people find that money and finances can be a big consideration when choosing their post-16 options. Young people aged 16-19 may be eligible for the government funded 16-19 bursary which is designed to help with some of your education-related costs. This could really help with things such as clothing, books and other equipment for your course, transport costs or even things like lunches on days that you study or train.
Find out more about the bursaries available and who may be eligible by visiting 16 to 19 Bursary Fund: Overview - GOV.UK
