Women's Health Strategy

In 2022, the government produced its first Strategy for Women's health in England. While women in the UK on average live longer than men, women spend a significantly greater proportion of their lives in ill health and disability when compared with men. The ambition is that within the next 10 years, the Women's Health Strategy for England will support boosted health outcomes for all women and girls and improved the way in which the health and care system engages and listens to all women and girls

In Doncaster, we are also looking to what more we can do locally to support women's health and wellbeing by working on producing our own localised women's health strategy.
