History Book Club (History Health and Happiness, Heritage Doncaster) The History Book Club meets online, twice a month, to talk about history and share our thoughts on the ebook of the month. We take part in activities with a history theme, such as quizzes and craft, and have a look at objects from Heritage Doncaster's collection. We read our ebook of the month between sessions (2-3 weeks). And our chosen ebook always relates to the history we discussed in the previous session. During the second session of the month, we share our thoughts on the book and discuss the books we'd like to read in the future. Sessions are delivered by the History Health and Happiness team at Heritage Doncaster. eBooks are provided via Doncaster Libraries and one-to-one assistance is offered to participants for technical help getting online. -

Tax Help for Older People We are an independent charity, offering a free tax advice service for older people on low incomes. We specialise in giving personal tax advice to people over 60 (or their representatives) with an income under £20,000. Our fully trained team of helpline staff in Dorset are able to provide telephone advice for approximately 80% of the enquiries but, due to increasing demand, we are constantly looking for volunteers to deal with the more complex issues with face to face appointments, either as part of a ‘tax surgery’ at an agreed venue or with a home visit. Volunteers are able to help with a wide variety of issues, including helping fill out forms; checking tax codes, or resolving over - or underpayments. All volunteers receive training and full induction into our systems and all advisers are covered by our Professional Indemnity Insurance. Registered charity number 1102276.
