Learning For Life - a Remake Learning Days Pop-up

 

If you’re aged 16+ and want to get involved in a range of fun activities that will help you develop new skills, spark your curiosity and increase your chances of becoming employed or starting / changing a career path – then read on!

Starting on Monday 13th October 2025, City of Doncaster Council is putting on a Learning for Life Week in Hexthorpe. This event is taking place between the 13th and 17th October 2025 covering a wide range of fun activities. This event is free and aimed at people aged 16+, so don’t miss out on this chance to learn more.

Friendly reminder: please bring a valid form of ID (driving licence, passport, birth certificate, a letter confirming your home address) to unlock further opportunities and support.

Designed to give an insight into possible careers working with animals they will be very interactive and encourage discussion.

Post workshops “Pathways to work” assistance will be available to aid in career awareness, personal development and any necessary learning/ study opportunities. In addition, they can also discuss support for relevant courses.

On Tuesday 14th October,Bramworth Road Allotments will host 'Workshops in the Wild' as part of the Remake Learning for Life week, aimed at supporting economically inactive and unemployed individuals aged 16+ to explore new skills and career pathways by engaging in hands-on learning activities. However, it is open to all who may be interested! 

Our no-cost event will look to teach: 

  • the basics of drone surveys 
  • an introduction to life cycles in ecological studies 
  • the making of wildflower meadows 
  • ideas of natural circularity (such as with composting) 
  • an introduction to dry stone walling 
  • the correct method of tree planting and suggested aftercare
