Offer for All Children
Talking Together run regular advice sessions from the Family Hubs with our Speech and Language Therapist. If you are worried about how your child is talking or communicating, and want some friendly advice, please contact your local Hub to make a booking – no referral needed.
In the advice session, the Speech and Language Therapist will ask some background information, and discuss your concerns. We’ll gently observe your child while they are playing and further assessment may be carried out in the session. You will then be given advice on activities you can carry out at home and information on what available services may be able to support your child’s needs further.

Offer for Children who Need a Little Extra Support
Some children just need a little extra help to start talking, but don’t necessarily need to see the specialist NHS Speech and Language Therapy service. Talking Together offer interventions for these children (aged between 2 and 4).
These sessions may take place in your home, or in a local Family Hub and may be on a 1to1 or small group basis. Your Talking Together Practitioner will show you easy activities and tips you can try at home between sessions.
