Tell us what you think about your bin collections!
Residents in Doncaster are being asked to let us know what they think about bin collections in Doncaster.
Last year, over 7,000 people filled in a survey giving us vital feedback on collections, which included a clear desire for more items to be accepted for recycling at the kerbside.
Since then, changes have been implemented to the recycling service; residents can now include clean plastic pots, tubs, trays and liquid cartons in their blue bin for collection. In the past few days, vapes, e-cigarettes and some types of batteries have also started being collected, residents can put these items in a small clear bag and simply place the bag on top of the blue bin lid on their normal collection day.
Residents are now being asked again to let us know their thoughts one year on, so we can ensure our service is as efficient and effective as possible.
Deputy Mayor of Doncaster, Glyn Jones, said: “We have made some very positive changes to our recycling service this year, recycling items such as plastic pots, tubs and trays has now been made easier and more convenient. We knew from last year’s consultation how important easier recycling was to residents and so it is fantastic to make that level of progress.
“Now we are looking to hear from residents again. We are looking to find out how we can improve further. Filling in our survey really does make an impact, and I encourage all those who use our service to feedback their thoughts.”
