Rossington Home Secured After Officer Intervenes to Stop ASB
A Rossington resident is feeling safe in their home again after a dedicated neighbourhood officer stepped in to resolve a persistent anti-social behaviour (ASB) issue stemming from arson damage.
The problem began when a caravan fire damaged three of the resident’s fence panels, creating a breach that allowed youths to enter the garden and conduct ongoing ASB and intimidation. The resident, who reported feeling unsafe, was promptly visited by a Neighbourhood Officer.
The Officer quickly identified the youths responsible for the ASB. Recognising the fence damage was the critical security flaw, had successfully applied for local community funding for repairs.
The repairs were completed, and the garden is now fully secured. Since the intervention, the ASB has stopped, and the resident reports feeling safe and reassured, noting the positive impact on their mental health.
This case is highlighted as a great example of early intervention by neighbourhood policing making a real difference in the community.
