Community Comes Together for Day of Action in Conisbrough & Denaby

Teams from Neighbourhoods, South Yorkshire Police, St Leger Homes, Street Scene, Well Doncaster, WISE, Waste and Recycling and Enforcement worked side by side to engage with the community and tackle key issues.

 

Highlights of the day included:

• Two community skips provided to help residents clear waste from gardens, reduce littering and fly-tipping, and support vulnerable households in removing unwanted items from their homes.
• Community-led support sessions, headed up by Neighbourhoods and South Yorkshire Police, offering advice and assistance throughout the ward.
• Intelligence submissions made to strengthen ongoing efforts to keep the area safe and clean.
• Penalty Charge Notices issued throughout the ward for littering and parking, many residents engaged with and informed around dog walking and cleaning up after their animals.
• House visits to numerous residents throughout the ward, removing waste, protecting vulnerable people and working to make quality of life better.
