Rossington Unites for a Day of Action!
On Wednesday, June 4, Rossington saw a fantastic Day of Action, bringing together partners and the community for a common goal: safer, cleaner, and more thriving communities.
Teams from South Yorkshire Police, Neighbourhoods, St Leger Homes, Enforcement, and many more, collaborated on a range of initiatives. These included a Cost of Living hub at Holmescarr Hall offering vital support, community gardening, road safety education with pupils, and "walk and talk" engagement sessions. There was also a strong focus on addressing problematic school parking, dog fouling, littering, and waste issues.
The day saw significant positive outcomes: Neighbourhoods identified wellbeing cases and engaged with residents, St Leger Homes addressed tenancy issues, and enforcement agencies tackled dangerous parking, untidy gardens, and fly-tipping. Waste & Recycling educated residents on proper disposal and addressed bin issues.
The Rossington Day of Action was a true success, showcasing the power of community collaboration!
