Refill Scheme Appeal

Doncaster Businesses. Join the Refill Revolution!

Did you know that the average person in the UK uses 150 plastic water bottles each year? That's a lot of plastic waste! But there is a way to reduce your plastic footprint and help the environment: join the Refill Revolution.

The Refill Revolution is a movement to make it easier for people to refill their water bottles instead of buying single-use plastic bottles. There are now over 10,000 Refill Stations across the UK, all of which offering free water refills.

Doncaster businesses can play a vital role in the Refill Revolution by becoming Refill Stations. It's easy to do: just sign up on the Refill app or website Home - Refill - find places to eat, drink and shop with less waste. Alternatively, email the team at sustainabilityteam@doncaster.gov.uk. You don't need any fancy equipment to take part - just a tap will do! Once you're a Refill Station, you'll be listed on the app with your available times so that people can find you when they need a refill.

What are the benefits of becoming a Refill Station?

  • You'll be helping to reduce plastic waste.
  • You'll be supporting a sustainable movement.
  • You'll be attracting new customers who are looking for ways to reduce their plastic footprint.

If you're a business in Doncaster, we urge you to join the Refill Revolution. It's a great way to make a difference for the environment and attract new customers.
