Doncaster Communities Gearing up for Climate Action Week
Following on from Doncaster's award-winning climate event last year, we are expanding for 2023 and introducing a week long climate engagement and action event.
This will be the second climate action event taking place in the city, with the borough-wide efforts in 2022 resulting in Doncaster winning an award for having one of the greatest positive impacts on climate change across 18 participating nations.
There are lots of ways that you can get involved in this years’ climate action event, - which will run from 27th November to 4th December - whether you are taking part as an individual, school, community, club, society, faith organisation, business, venue or as part of any other group!
Your involvement could include:
- Life skills sessions such as cookery / make, do and mend /food growing / cycling
- Story-telling sessions
- Theatre/dramatic productions featuring climate change narratives.
- Arts and crafts sessions
- Activities which include tree planting / biodiversity protection
- Energy advice
- Community litter picking
