Move for your Mind walking group

Here at Doncaster Mind, we believe that no one should have to face a mental health difficulty alone.

We run various wellbeing groups and courses throughout the year with Move for your Mind being one of them.

Being active and moving your body is a wonderful way to help improve your mental health. That's why this May for National Walking Month, we’ve planned four walks in different locations across the city. There are so many benefits to walking. It can reduce anxiety, improve your quality of sleep and help to improve your overall mood.

Move for your Mind might be your starting point into fitness, socialising, or helping you boost your self-esteem and confidence. As this is a short group with four sessions, we’ve also sourced some community groups that can provide walking group activities after National Walking Month for those who wish to continue reaping the rewards of the outdoors.

All walks will be 2 to 3 miles long and run between 10am and 12pm. We’ve even route planned to account for bus route access (as best we can) and that all important pit stop at the end for a cup of tea!

If you’re looking to meet up with others whilst improving your mental health, then join us for a walk and talk whilst being surrounded by like-minded people.

You must be over 18 and live in the Doncaster area to benefit from these FREE activities.
