Friday's Summer Youth Group

The Summer Activities will be delivered in a total of 6 sessions, held on Fridays from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm at Hope Baptist Church Hall, Holmescarr Community Centre, Rossington, DN11 0LP.

The sessions will include:

  • Performing Arts and Confidence Building: creative, theatre-based workshops for young people. Our aim is to provide a safe, structured environment that builds resilience, supports wellbeing, and strengthens life skills.
  • Music and DJ Skills: building confidence through learning the trade of music production, DJ ing and use of music in regulating mood.
  • Sports Fitness and Leadership: A range of ball skills, fitness and agility.
  • Eco Arts and Crafts: Recycling household items into art work, creating Clay artifacts, Paints and making summer artwork.
  • Wood Work upcycling: using disused wood to give it a new life as original pieces for the garden at Holmescarr.
  • Gardening: Recycling household items to make mini gardens, terrariums, and other plant gifts
  • Environmental Bingo: learning about the environment and climate change whilst playing.
  • Career Quest and Panjango: Exploring future jobs through fun tasks and challenges
  • Healthy Snacks Buffet: attendees will be supplied with the food buffet with a selection of food to create their own healthy snacks, available throughout the session. Food will be a healthy mix of choices, eg fruit kebabs. Information on healthy eating and exercise is distributed.
  • A range of Board Games are available throughout the session to develop problem solving and enterprise skills.
  • Lazer Quest: Building fitness in a fun way!
