Edlington Summer Holidays - 6 Week Activities Programme

Our six week programme is here!

There is something for everyone, whether it be cooking, gardening or just having some fun. All of our activities are booking only and we ask you to book as soon as possible as they tend to fill up fast. Bags to take home are to be ordered and then collected on the date listed below for each event. You can pay for a few or block book the whole summer holidays and keep the kids occupied. 

Please note that all of the activities are booking only and they must be paid within a week of booking or places will be offered to other people. All money paid is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Here are the dates and details for the events taking place over the summer:

Week 1:
Wednesday 24th July, Summer Games Pack, Collect from ECO between 10am and 2pm
  • £2 Per Pack/ 1 per household
  • Each pack will include sun-cream, hats, UV bracelets, a game and a six week challenge
Week 2:
Wednesday 31st July, Pond Dipping, 2pm - 4pm

Join us up at Martinwell lake for pond dipping/shelter building. We will be joined by the rangers from Sandal Beat who will host an afternoon of pond dipping or shelter building. Afterwards we will sit down and enjoy a picnic. 

  • £2 per child, includes activity and food
  • Adults can also buy sandwiches and drinks
Thursday 1st August, Kids Can Grow, 2pm - 4pm

An afternoon of potting and planting. Let the children get mucky and learn how to plant seeds and arrange flowers. The afternoon is all about getting their hands dirty. Afterwards collect your picnic to take home (we cannot eat with mucky hands!)

Week 3:
Wednesday 7th August, Kids Can Cook, 2pm - 4pm

This ready steady cook style activity will let your kids show us your cooking skills. They will make a three course meal to take home and enjoy with the family.

Thursday 8th August, Reptile Rendezvous, 2pm - 4pm

Come along and meet the animals! Get close up with a snake, meerkat, spider and many more. 

  • £2 per child, includes activity and picnic to take home
Week 4:
Thursday 15th August, Craft Bag, Collection between 10am - 2pm

Let's get crafting! In this bag there will be equipment to create something unique. 

  • All materials and instructions will be provided
  • Bags may vary depending on stock
  • £2 per bag
Week 5:
Wednesday 21st August, Mad Hatters Tea Party, 2pm - 4pm

Come join us at the centre for our crazy tea party! Dress up and dine with the Mad Hatter and his friends.

  • £2 per person, includes food and drink
Thursday 22nd August, Tye-Dye, 2pm - 4pm

Let's get messy! We will be making some wacky t-shirts, vests, bags and socks. The brighter the better. 

  • £2 per child, includes materials and picnic to take home
Week 6:
Wednesday 28th August, Nature Trail, 2pm - 4pm

Let's get our spy glass out and find some bugs. Starting at the centre we will have a walk around the memorial garden looking for creepy crawlies. Afterwards, (weather dependant) we will have a picnic.

Thursday 29th August, Princess and Pirates Disco, 2pm - 4pm

To finish the holidays off come and join us for our princess and pirates disco. We will play games, do some crafts and eat cake!
